The Corporate Social Responsibility Workshops (CSR Workshops / CSRW) have been introduced at the end of 2008 as part of our efforts to provide professional training to those interested or working as CSR Officers, Ethics and Compliance Officers, Corporate Governance, Sustainable Development or Corporate Communication specialists, or just having to do with these fields.
The CSR Workshops consist in a series of intensive training programs, all prepared for general audience, but discussing particular topics such as: CSR vs. Ethics Management; Business Ethics and CSR; building up a CSR program; monitoring and reporting on the CSR program; Stakeholder Management. In 2009, the CSR Workshops will take place in Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary and Middle East, depending on the number of applications. For the sessions taking place in Romania, the official language is Romanian, while at all the other sessions the trainers will speak in English.
At the same time, is worth noticing that the training content is taking into consideration two essential elements: a) the regional economic and culture aspect, and b) the need for practical tools and measure in order to increase the company value. For this reason, the training method includes relevant examples and study cases.

Romania CSR Reports Ranking
We developed a special methodology for ranking CSR reports issued by companies registered in Romania. The purpose of this systems is double: first and foremost, our intention is to help companies build up better reporting mechanisms and win the trust of their stakeholders; second, we want to educate the Romanian business environment to talk openly about common issues concerning the responsibilities of organizations. The results of our ranking system and comments on the reports included in our survey can be accessed at the Applied Ethics Reference Point.
New ECO website
The "Ethics and Compliance Officer" training program has a new website. The general layout did not suffer great modifications, but the new site has been prepared to become the future educational platform we imagined two years ago. At the same time, the web address has been changed http://eco.omnitraining.ro/. We look forward seeing you at our ECO training sessions.
CECO Certification Exams
The CECO Certification Exam (*Certified Ethics and Compliance Officer) has been scheduled for November 2009. Check out the ECO website.

Cristian Ducu, PhD cand.
Cristian is the chief-coordinator of the "Ethics & Compliance Officer" training program and has a vast experience in designing, developing and implementing Ethics and Compliance Management Systems, which include CSR programs. Currently, he is finalizing his PhD in Moral Philosophy at the University of Bucharest and works with other colleagues on the Handbook for Ethics and Compliance Officer, a three-volumes guide for anyone interested in Ethics and Compliance Management, Business Ethics, Risk Management, Corporate Social Responsibility, Conflict Management.

| 'Ethics & Compliance Officer' training |
The "Ethics and Compliance Officer" training program is the first and the only European training program that offers systematic approach to the field of Ethics and Compliance and aims at developing the know-how, the competencies and abilities for performing the regular tasks of an Ethics and Compliance Officer within an organization (either company or public institution, NGO, etc.)
At the end of the program, the participants have the possibility to become Certified Ethics and Compliance Officers (*CECO), if they meet the requirements and pass the certification exam.
